Whether you enjoy hiking the many trails of Chimney Rock State Park, playing a round of golf at Lake Lure Municipal Golf Course, or spending the day on the lake, our cabin is centrally located for all of these activities. Lake Lure Adventure Company is a short walk, where you can rent kayaks, SUPs, Pontoon Boats or water skiing and tubing sessions. Located just across the road from Lake Lure Golf Club and a short 3 minute drive to Ingles grocery store gives this home a perfect location.
Get away while staying connected with convenient WiFi and 4G Verizon phone signal on the property. Enjoy the wonderful evenings on our front porch rocking chairs and relax at night while watching your favorite blu-ray or DVD, soak in the hot tub, or roast some marshmallows around the campfire.
Our cabin's unique design comfortably accommodates 4 on the main level with additional sleeping options available in the attic lofts. Both lofts are only accessible by ladder and have a private window as well as mattress and box springs for sleeping. The lower level is only accessed by the outside. Due to restrictions on our well and septic system our maximum occupancy is 6 people.
Amenities include: standard coffee pot and Keurig, YouTube TV, blu-ray/DVD player, sound machine alarm clocks, WiFi, basic kitchen essentials, towels and linens, gas grill, central A/C and gas fireplace. Partially finished basement with washer and dryer, pool table, and ping-pong table--Perfect for rainy days! Newly added hot tub on bottom deck! Private drive with room for 2-3 vehicles.
All bedding and towels professionally laundered off site. Any persons with allergies to any cleaning products should notify owners before booking.
We are pet friendly for friendly pets! An additional $60-120 pet fee will be added to account for extra cleaning following departure.

NC VACATION RENTAL STANDARDS
First, be aware that the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act provides you with certain rights and protections. Second, we would like to make you aware of a few local regulations designed to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY LIMITS: The maximum occupancy limit for this home is 6 persons. You must provide us with the number of people and vehicles in your group. Violation of occupancy rules are grounds for immediate eviction with no refund, and fees will be charged to your credit card to cover any damages.
DESIGNATED PARKING: Vehicles must be parked only in designated areas on the vacation rental property. Parking in the roadway blocking the flow of traffic and parking on neighbor's property without permission are prohibited. There is parking for2 vehicles at this property. No RV’s trailers, campers, or oversized vehicles of any kind.
ACCESS: You will receive directions and access information once we have received a signed rental agreement securing reservation (this agreement will be sent to you for electronic signature) you will also need to provide a copy of your government issued ID to our company with current mailing address and contact information along with vehicle registration of each vehicle that will be at the home during your stay. You will be emailed check in instructions 24 hours prior to arrival provided you have signed your electronic rental agreement and sent in a copy of your photo ID and vehicle information. If you go to a property prior to approval from our office before check in time you will be accessed an early check-in fee $50.
TRASH DISPOSAL: All household waste & trash must be placed in receptacles considered to be animal proof (e.g., durable with secured lids) when available unless advised otherwise due to increased bear activity.
MINIMUM AGE: You must be at least 25 years of age to reserve a rental property and sign this lease and must also be a guest at the property during the entire term of the stay. You must present a valid government ID at time of check in. If you are not 25, you will NOT be allowed to check in and no refund will be provided.
NO HOUSE PARTIES: We do not accept reservations from sororities, fraternities, spring-break parties, bachelor / bachelorette / wedding parties, graduation parties, or ANY similar groups unless approved at time of reservation. Mr. Lake Lure Vacation Rentals works very closely with local law enforcement to patrol our rental homes, and report to us any occupancy violations. Any violation of this rule mandates you immediately vacate home without refund, regardless of the remaining duration of your reservation.
FIRE PROTECTION FOR YOUR SAFETY: Fire Extinguisher and Evacuation Plan -This home is equipped with working fire extinguishers and a posted evacuation plan. Removing any of these from their designated location is prohibited. Avoid storing items not to block hallways, doorways, steps, entrances and exits. Small Outdoor Fires - When an area burning ban is in effect, bonfires are prohibited. Contact your rental home's property manager for information on any burning bans. Outdoor fires are only permitted in a place and manner approved by the Fire Chief.
LAKE ACTIVITIES: Swimming: Do not swim farther than 50 feet from shore unless accompanied by an observer in a boat.
Fishing: A North Carolina fishing license is required, and all state fishing regulations apply.
Boating: If a boat is provided with this rental home, please ask for and review the pamphlet entitled “Lake Regulations & Map”. If you wish to utilize your own boat on the lake, a permit is required and can be obtained at Town Hall or at the town marina.
PERSONAL CONDUCT: Trespassing - Venturing onto a neighboring dock or pier, boat house or property without the owner's permission is prohibited.
NO SMOKING: Smoking is prohibited in all our vacation rental homes. You will be accessed an additional cleaning fee if it is discovered you have been smoking in the home of $500. We ask that all smokers stay a minimum of 10 ft from any open window or door, do not stand near open doors or windows allowing smoke to enter the home while smoking on property. Please make sure butts and ashes are not left behind. Discard the butts and ashes in the outside garbage. Do not throw butts on the ground (including the fire pit) or bring them into the home. If there is any tobacco smell in the home after your departure, there will be a minimum $500 charge. Oil lamps and incense are not permitted due to the long-lasting odor. If these policies are violated, there will be a charge for excessive cleaning.
NOISE: Unreasonably loud noise is prohibited throughout the Town. Please observe quiet hours after 10 p.m. and be aware that sound carries very far over a still lake.
UNRULY BEHAVIOR: Behavior deemed disorderly and causing a disturbance to the public is prohibited. These regulations will be strictly enforced.
PET FRIENDLY HOMES: This is a Dog friendly home there will be additional non-refundable pet fee listed. CATS ARE NOT ALLOWED 2-Adult Dogs are allowed with additional nonrefundable pet fee of $60-$120. Dogs must not be left unattended or must be crated if left at home. Dogs are NOT allowed on the furniture; we ask that you please always pick up after you dogs and be mindful of the neighbors and keep your dogs on a leash.
RENTAL AGREEMENT AND TOTAL BALANCE: You will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement before your reservation is secured. Your total amount listed on the Mr Lake Lure® Vacation Rental Agreement may be different than the amount paid to the 3rd party site you book through. All third-party sites charge differing amounts as service fees to guests for using their services. We have no control over those fees and do not collect them.

CHECK OUT: 10:00 a.m. local time (or earlier) NO EXCEPTIONS. Housekeeping will arrive very shortly after 10:00 a.m. to prepare the home for the next Guest. Late check-outs will be charged the applicable daily rate or $50 per hour, whichever is greater to the credit card on file if the home has not been vacated by 1:00 pm.
*** Lake Lure will be undergoing a drawdown starting January 1st, through the first quarter (March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet has been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. No personal watercraft will be allowed on the lake during this time. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. Management went above and beyond!
Very fun getaway spot! Celebrated my 60th birthday with family in this cool cabin. Hosts were great and everything was in working order even in spite of some bad windy weather and a power outage earlier in the day, before we arrived. They went above and beyond to get the hot tub working and ready for us, which we really appreciated and enjoyed! Game room was awesome. Would stay there again! Relaxing getaway.....and a neighborhood bear!
Wander Inn was a cozy, relaxing cabin with a lovely porch, hot tub, and a great basement with ping pong and pool tables. Didn't try the fire pit since we were a little nervous about attracting the bear which we spotted on numerous occasions. Could have used firmer mattresses, softer pillows, and a full length mirror, but overall our stay was nice and quiet and the location was convenient to Ingles and getting into town easily.- Rebecca , Posted: 8/7/2023

Wonderful!
Leave it to me to discover a place that is already famous! I was just looking for a cabin near Ashville that was dog friendly. Lucky us we stumbled on Lake Lure. The area had everything we wanted, a little shopping, lots of eating, near 2 great golf courses (and even mini-golf), apple picking, an easy drive to Asheville. The only disappointment was not being able to go out onto the lake because it had been lowered in preparation for the remnants of the hurricane. (just glad that they didn't get hit!) The house was charming. Definitely small, but we had read the reviews and were prepared for that. The open loft was a little challenging for one teenage son because he's used to a bedroom with a door, but I think he ended up thinking climbing a ladder to go to bed was kind of fun. Everything was clean and well-supplied. The game room/basement was well-used and appreciated by 2 teen boys during our stay. The firepit area was a nice place to spend the chilly evenings. The hot tub was out of commission for a few days, but the rental company was very communicative and got it fixed as soon as possible. The location is fantastic. We had neighbors, but couldn't really see or hear them during our stay. Great restaurants nearby and a new large Ingles was very close (a luxury for a mountain vacation!) Great Cabin
Great place to take your family! Awesome basement for kids and friends to hang out that has a ping pong and pool tables, pop a shot, and large sectional and smart TV. Oh, and a hot tub! Upstairs has great beds and fun loft areas for kids 2 sleep. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and is conveniently located to the grocery store (5 minutes). We were looking for a quiet place to relax and recharge and Wander Inn took care of that. Clean and quaint, it's two blocks from the golf course, eight minutes from groceries and gas, and fifteen minutes from town, shopping and the lake. The spacious game room and well kept hot tub give you entertainment options, and wi-fi is adequate. Neighbors are close so be mindful of their presence.Don't try to find it the first time in the dark! The drive way is short, narrow and below the street level. We would stay again. My vacation
Everything was fine , lovely cabin beach closed and wanted to take my granddaughter there- was told no lifeguards as college is back in session. Every state is different- ocean beaches in NJ stay open- other than that- was beautiful scenery. Hiking fun and the Biltmore estate a must see.. Spring Break in the Mountains

Such a great stay!
Our family had a fantastic stay at the Wander Inn cabin! It was such a nice, quiet location that felt very secluded, and yet was minutes to Lake Lure, downtown, grocery store, etc. We felt immediately up to speed on restaurants or grocery store needs and were given a welcome packet with all relevant information. We rented a boat and spent some time on the lake, which is beautiful. There were several orchards within a 15 minute drive to visit. And a lot of other things to do. But we also thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin cooking meals, playing games with the kids, sitting on the back porch for a nice quiet view of trees and listening to the animals. Lake Lure Weekend
We spend a great extended weekend in the Lake Lure area at the Wander Inn. The house was great and centrally located for all the activities we wanted to do in the area. Our boys loved the loft areas in the house and spent lots of time going back and forth. Additionally the basement was a nice addition for entertainment for the kids as well as us grown kids. A couple of hiccups at the beginning but Dawn helped us through it! Nice getaway. Was originally booked for my husband, son, and I but then added my parents and still had plenty of room! The ping pong table and pool table was the highlight for my 12 year old son! The only couple minor suggestions would be to have some sort of dresser drawers in the bedrooms as there was nowhere to put our non hanging clothes. Also, more light in the game room...I think some of the light bulbs were out. Again, minor issues. I will say, if you are an outdoors person, you may want to visit during the fall as August is hot and mosquitos love it! Thank you Mr. Lake Lure! Wonderful cozy little cabin!
The Wander Inn was such a cozy little cabin for our escape to the lake! We loved the personal unique touches, such as the built-in dog bowls and enclosed game room area on the lower level. There was a gas grill, not a charcoal as advertised, just would be nice if it would be updated so as to not lug the charcoal there and back :) We emailed in about maintenance issues and no response via email back, so I do hope they fixed the items before the next renters. Not issues that bothered us, but they may others. I did have a hard time reaching someone at the office via phone - maybe just busy phone volume?
