TUCKED AWAY LODGE is a stunning tri level, 3 bedroom, 3 bath, log home in the picturesque gated community of the Peaks at Lake Lure.  Along your drive to the home in the subdivision, you will enjoy breathtaking long-range views of the Blue Ridge Mountain foothills.  You can enjoy the mountains without enduring curvy roads.  We are right off NC Highway 9, convenient to Ingles Grocery Store, gas station, and Lake House lakefront restaurant.  When you’re ready to venture out, you’re only minutes to downtown Lake Lure, Chimney Rock Village, and Chimney Rock State Park.  

Situated atop a very private 1.46 acre knoll, Tucked Away has that WOW FACTOR!  You’re surrounded by mature trees and lush vegetation.  The long sloping gravel drive is only appropriate for standard size passenger vehicles.  Once at the home, unloading luggage and groceries is a breeze, as there are only a couple of steps to the covered front porch and into the main level.  

Immediately upon walking in, you’ll know you made the right vacation rental decision.  The first impression is stunning as you’re met with soaring vaulted ceilings, and a wall of windows allowing plenty of bright natural light.  Set your bags down, and let’s explore.

The main level living room features tasteful décor, unique lighting, wood floors, full-length sofa, two leather side chairs, plus additional seating.  Gather around the stacked stone fireplace and enjoy the large flat screened TV.  Glass doors lead to an expansive deck area with impressive views.  If it happens to rain, there’s seating along the full length covered porch.  

There are so many seating and dining options with an open inviting floor plan that connects everyone together on the main level.  Steps away from the living room is a casual dining table seating six for breakfast or a morning cup of coffee.  There’s also a breakfast bar with two chairs.  The Formal Dining Room has a table that seats eight people.  It’s the perfect place to gather for meals, games, or just planning the next day’s adventures.

The kitchen has everything required for cooking and entertaining.  It features granite countertops, side by side refrigerator freezer, separate beverage cooler, electric stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, DRIP COFFEE MAKER ONLY, toaster oven, deep ceramic sink, variety of cookware, and plenty of dishes and utensils.  

For those who can’t do stairs, there are two main level Guest Bedrooms.  The first Guest Room has gorgeous log furniture including queen size bed, two nightstands with reading lamps, small chest of drawers, love seat, wood floors, ceiling fan, and a walk-in closet with plenty of room for all your clothes.  The window has both blinds and drapes to keep it dark for sleeping-in.  

The second main level Guest Room has a similar arrangement, so you can’t go wrong with either room.  It features a queen size bed, two nightstands with reading lamps, small chest of drawers, rocking chair, wood floors, ceiling fan and closet.  No worries, you can sleep-in here too with blinds and curtains on the window.  These Guest rooms share a main level full bathroom with tub and shower.
 

Upstairs is a private impressive large Master Suite.  The listing photos tell the story, with a long list of extras here.  The highlights include high ceilings, wood floors, king size bed, two nightstands with reading lamp, six-drawer dresser, second three-drawer dresser, full length wall mounted mirror, flat screen TV, and a large walk-in closet.  The private master bathroom has tub and shower.  Just outside the bedroom is a loft area with two twin beds for additional sleeping flexibility.

All the fun happens downstairs!  The lower level is an entertainment paradise.  Play all night on the full-size pool table or gather around the large flat screen TV.  There’s plenty of room to stretch out on two sofas and a large side chair.  Glass doors lead to an outside covered stone patio with table and chairs.  There is another room downstairs with two twin beds, a full-size bed, and even a crib.  There is a third bathroom downstairs that has a tub and shower.  Finishing off the lower level is a large laundry room with washer and dryer.  

But wait, there’s more!  Explore the outdoor paradise and discover the stone fire pit surrounded by comfortable Adirondack chairs, ready for roasting marshmallows and making memories.  There are also other places to stroll and explore with benches to sit and enjoy all this property has to offer.

First, be aware the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act provides you with certain rights and protections. Second, we would like to make you aware of a few local regulations designed to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY LIMITS: The maximum overnight occupancy limit for this home is 8 people. You must provide us with the number of people and vehicles in your group.  Violation of occupancy rules are grounds for immediate eviction with no refund, and fees will be charged to your credit card to cover any damages. 

DESIGNATED PARKING: Vehicles must be parked only in designated areas on the vacation rental property. Parking in the roadway blocking the flow of traffic and parking on neighbor's property without permission are prohibited. There is parking for a maximum of 3 vehicles at this property, no exceptions.  Absolutely NO boats, trailers, campers, RV’s, large passenger vans, or any other oversized vehicles of ANY kind.

TRASH DISPOSAL:  All household waste and trash must be placed in receptacles provided.

MINIMUM AGE: You must be at least 25 years of age to reserve a rental property.  You must sign a rental agreement and be a guest at the property during the entire term of the stay.  You must present a valid government ID within 72 hours of reservation.

NO HOUSE PARTIES: We do not accept reservations from sororities, fraternities, spring-break parties, bachelor / bachelorette / wedding parties, or any similar groups unless approved at time of reservation.  Mr. Lake Lure Vacation Rentals works closely with local law enforcement to patrol our rental homes.  We have a ZERO tolerance policy for noise of any kind.

FIRE PROTECTION FOR YOUR SAFETY: This home is equipped with working fire extinguishers and a posted evacuation plan. Removing any of these from their designated location is prohibited. Avoid storing items not to block hallways, doorways, steps, entrances, and exits. When an area burning ban is in effect, bonfires are prohibited. Contact your rental home's property manager for information on any burning bans. Small outdoor fires are permitted in the fire pit ONLY.

LAKE ACTIVITIES: Do not swim farther than 50 feet from shore unless accompanied by an observer in a boat. A North Carolina fishing license is required, and all state fishing regulations apply.

TRESPASSING: Trespassing or venturing onto a neighboring property without the owner's permission is prohibited.

NO SMOKING: Smoking is prohibited in all our vacation rental homes. You will be accessed an additional cleaning fee if it is discovered you have been smoking in the home of $500.  We ask that all smokers stay a MINIMUM of 10 feet from any open window or door while smoking on property.

NOISE: Unreasonably loud noise is prohibited throughout the Town of Lake Lure. Please observe quiet hours after 10 p.m. and be aware that sound carries very far in our quiet little community.

UNRULY BEHAVIOR: Behavior deemed disorderly and causing a disturbance to the public is prohibited. These regulations will be strictly enforced.

PETS: Pets are NOT ALLOWED in this home.  No exceptions.  Guests found with pets will be asked to vacate the property, regardless of the scheduled duration of the stay.  No refunds will be given for Guests asked to leave.

BOOKING WEBSITES:  You will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement before your reservation is secured.  Your total amount listed on the Mr. Lake Lure® Vacation Rental Agreement may be different than the amount paid to the 3^rd party website used for booking.  All third-party websites charge service fees to guests for using their services.  We have no control over those fees and do not collect them.

CHECK IN: 4:00 p.m.via the remote door code provided.  

CHECK OUT: 10:00 a.m. local time.  Housekeeping arrives promptly at 10:00am.
