Luremont Cottage

Magical!
Second stay and we’ll be back. This rambling rustic lodge was perfect for our multigenerational family—6 adults and 6 kids. It’s like stepping back in time—with modern conveniences. Endless nooks and crannies for hide and seek. The little girls especially loved the 3rd floor for playing “family” and building forts. We all loved the expansive living room for board games, meals, and horse play. The outdoor living areas are equally wonderful—an idyllic covered porch, 2 patios will ample seating, and a yard for exploring. The property sits on a dead end road and over looks Lake Lure (maybe has a winter view), and has parking for at least 4 vehicles. The beach is an easy 10 minute walk. Inside, the kitchen is well equipped including a fabulous fridge. The bedrooms are huge and have great mattresses and nice firm pillows. Highly recommended for folks who prefer old quirky lodges over hotels /condos.

We absolutely loved the house, and the area of Lake Lure! Very convenient to Chimney Rock, and right at Lake Lure Beach as well. We had plenty of room for our family of 8. We only had 1 issue with a light fixtures and it was handled immediately! This home will be our go to when returning to Lake Lure!!

Lake Getaway
Luremont Cottage was wonderful. My grandkids loved the play area upstairs and the fire pit outside for smores. We didnt have cell service so I didnt get checkout instructions till I got home. A printed laminate copy of checkout instructions posted on the front of the fridge would be helpful to future guests. Great Weekend!

WOW! Just WOW!
I have traveled to over 50 countries for work and vacation, and I have stayed at many places, like luxury resorts, Air B and B's, VRBO's and more. All claim great customer service and some deliver and most do not. Until I got to rent from Mr. Lake Lure. I will go on record as staying that this is the BEST (by far) customer service I have ever received. I felt that my husband and I were treated as their only client/renter. Their attention to detail and attention to customer questions or concerns was immediate and wonderful. We will book directly with them as soon as we can make a trip back to NC! Mr. LL made the vacation even better than we expected. Our sincere thanks to the entire staff and management at Mr. Lake Lure.

Such a cute place
Super great place to stay, it’s old and you can tell, but it adds to the charm. There was more than enough room for the 12 of us that stayed. And the front and back porch were a perfect place to hang out and relax. My only complaint was that the beds were way too soft. I would definitely stay here again though.

Great Property
I love this older home - it has such great character. The outside spaces are fantastic. We hosted a supper for 20 people. There was so much space for everyone. We traveled to North Carolina for my daughter's wedding, and it was beautiful. This house is so close to the beach and everything.

Awesome Visit
This house was perfect for our group of 12 (8 adults and 4 kids that are 10 and under). The house is much bigger than you can tell in pictures, and everyone had their own space. It was the perfect place for our family to spending Thanksgiving. The outdoor deck space and yard was great! The communication with Mr Lake Lure was excellent as well. They were very quick to answer any questions.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful! The views were amazing, both with the woods and the little bit of the lake we could see peaking through. We had absolutely amazing weather and we couldn't ask for a better vacation.

Luremont review
Very pleased with check in process, although the reservation was for a family of 12 for 3 nights and when we arrived there were only five towels in the whole house. The office was quick to respond and deliver more towels/washcloths. The two bathrooms in the house both have clawfoot tubs with shower curtain surround, Overall, the process was good, the house description was accurate and the house is in a great location! We were definitely pleased and already planning to come back next year.

Beautiful, well cared for Cabin. We had a wonderful time, the location is perfect. The cabin has a lovely nostalgic cabin feel, with modern conveniences and plenty of room for family and friends to settle in for an amazing vacation in the mountains. All the amenities and extras provided, make for a wonderful and relaxing stay. Anything you might forget, they seem to have somewhere in the house. Plenty of water toys, games, extra folding chairs, a very well stocked home. We want to come back when we can stay longer.

Charming cabin the woods
We so enjoyed our stay at Luremont cottage! It had rustic charm both inside and out, but with.modern amenities sprinkled in. There was plenty of room for my large family and a perfect play area for the kids. It sits in a great location overlooking the lake and minutes from chimney Rock, shops, and grocery stores. The only negative you might have is getting up the steep roads and driveway, but that is very typical for the area. 100% would hope to stay here again!

Wonderful Winter Weekend
Beautiful historic home with great rustic appeal. Well appointed kitchen with everything we needed. Great outdoor spaces and amazing wintertime views of the lake, the nearby inn and Chimney Rock. We walked to the flowering bridge and held a progressive lunch advancing to 3 of the nearby restaurants. Wonderful weekend!

We all loved this house so so much!! Only 2 suggestions: provide a little extra toilet paper and paper towels. And a ceiling fan on the porch for hot afternoons would be nice. But we had a wonderful time. Very comfortable.

We even walked to Chimney Rock early one morning when traffic was not an issue. Older home with lots of charm and very comfortable. Mr. Lake Lure rental company was fantastic to work with. Very responsive and friendly. We had one minor need for maintenance assistance, and they were prompt and very helpful.

Can’t say enough good things about this cabin and the service! We had a wonderful time, and definitely hope to return to this cabin for our next trip! Literally the only two suggestions I would make: 1) Update the instructions for keyless entry. The code provided is correct, but the door doesn’t automatically unlock when you punch it in. You actually have to turn the deadbolt, and same when leaving. 2) We booked this trip fairly last-minute (think it was Tues or Wed) and the very next day I got an email and a voicemail saying our trip would be canceled and deposit forfeited if I didn’t sign the agreement ASAP. I’m sure these reminders get triggered within a certain # of days of your trip starting. It would have been a little less alarming if the voicemail had acknowledged we just booked but still needed us to sign as soon as possible, etc.
