Comfortable and secluded
Wonderfully secluded cabin - but still not too far from town! Oven door was broken and some outside spot lights were out - but everything else was in working order. Had access to great walking paths. Cabin was very comfortable and clean. Check in and out were simple.- Shandra , Posted: 5/22/2023
A great place to stay
The thing about the passes was a little confusing. Maybe have a list of amenities to see next to the passes on the counter. It suggests going to the website to see them, but being in the mtns your service is limited to be able to look up anything!- Kenneth , Posted: 9/5/2022
Travel Agent review
As a travel agent, I book many stays both personally and professionally! This particular stay was booked by my sister- Mandeep. We had a girls outing where we spent the most amazing weekend ever in Lake Lure! There was so much to do around town including the art festival, Flowering Bridge, Chimney Rock, and the Lake Lure beach! The cabin itself was the best part! There were a total of 4 single twin size beds and 2 large King size beds. Each room was furnished with lake lure and bear-themed novelties! The beds were comfy to sleep on and everything was provided! We had access to not only cookware but also landline phone, blankets, beach gear (chairs/floaties), games, and laundry. each bathroom was stocked with fresh towels and toiletries. We couldn't have asked for a better cabin! It was like a mini mansion! Absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. The staff was also extremely helpful-especially when they returned out items we accidentally left (including a phone!). We really appreciate the hospitality!- Jaswinder , Posted: 5/31/2022
My husband and I along with our dogs had a great little trip! We were really pleased with the house! Coming from Raleigh with traffic and not much peace and quiet, this stay offered exactly what we were looking for. The house was really well equipped for making meals at home. The porches were fantastic for reading, rocking and relaxing. Our dogs loved the squirrels, turkeys and birds in the backyard. The house is in a great location to offer a lot of tranquility, we look forward to coming back in other seasons. The communication from the rental office via email, calls and texts were very accommodating and made check-in and out simple. 10/10 recommend!- Meaghann , Posted: 4/10/2022
We had enough space for the four of us and the dog. The cabin had everything we needed and was very clean. You are in the mountains and surrounded by nature, it was all very relaxing. We enjoyed the amenities at the nearby resort, hikes in Chimney Rock and visited Asheville. The cell service is spotty at best and the winding roads are not for the faint of heart. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway in the mountains, this is for you!- Jon , Posted: 4/3/2022
Beautiful, well equipped property
The property was exactly as advertised. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need during your stay! It is nicely decorated, spacious, the beds are comfortable, there are games, books, movies, the amenities passes, just so many options provided for fun. The communication with the management company were smooth & friendly, they were very helpful people.- Tammie , Posted: 9/10/2021
Affordable and comfortable with awesome amenities!
We loved our stay! The cabin was well equipped with anything one might have needed and it was decorated cute to boot. The porch was gorgeous and the porch swing was super comfy - probably our favorite part of the house. We would definitely come back again.- Sara , Posted: 7/23/2021
The cabin was absolutely beautiful. The front porch was our favorite place to relax . None of the TVs really worked , but we didn’t watch tv very much anyway . It was a family vacation and we tried to stay away from tv and phones and play games instead . It was adequately supplied with linens , cookware and etc . It was a home away from home . The Mr. Lakelure staff was friendly and helpful . This was a wonderful vacation . I give it 4 stars only because of the TVs .- Stephanie , Posted: 7/18/2021
Great view and very peaceful
We love the view, was very peaceful but at night we think we heard animals going through the garbage while we had the heavy rock on the lid.- Walter , Posted: 6/18/2021
Nice cabin. Very nice equipped kitchen. Water pressure is fabulous. If steps bother you, not a rental for you. Steep steps outside and inside to basement. We saw lots of wildlife and had a few visitors in the trash cans...a momma bear and 3 cubs!- Stephanie , Posted: 5/30/2021
The cabin was spacious and had the all the essentials plus more, it was in a quiet part of town meaning there wasn't much noise from the neighborhood. A good place to relax and unwhine.- Adrian , Posted: 11/24/2020
Nice and Cozy Cabin
Cabin was in a nice area of the mountains, convenient to golf and hiking and other things we wanted to do. Cabin was clean, but could use a more deep cleaning in hard to reach areas (fans and beams very dusty and many cobwebs). Kitchen is very well stocked with everything we needed. We arrived late at night and could not get many of the outside lights to turn on. Not sure if just needed new light bulbs or if they don’t work. Overall very happy with our stay and would stay again and recommend to others- Agnes , Posted: 10/9/2020

Our extended family had a great vacation enjoying all the amenities at Rumbling Bald. The cabin was spacious enough for the seven of us and the grandkids loved the loft. We all enjoyed the feeling of being back in the woods and rocking on the front porch. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was well-stocked. Definitely a good trip.- Diane , Posted: 9/3/2020
Enjoyed our 1st trip to Lake Lure area
This was our first trip to the area. We enjoyed the rest and relaxation from the cabin, it was quiet. One afternoon we spent napping and enjoying the swing on the front porch. King master bed was super comfy and enjoyed the high quality sheets. Plenty of pillows and towels throughout the home. We used the outdoor grill two nights to cook dinner. Lots of supplies, and plenty of dishes to suit a large party that the house is designed for. We hiked two days at Buffalo Creek Trailhead, less than a mile from the cabin. It was so nice to have a trailhead so close. It's a 3.5 loop, just be prepared it's NOT flat. House does have wifi and basic cable. It might be the only place you get wifi service in the area. It was nice to go to Chimney Rock area, but just know dining is limited and everything closes at 7-8pm. Traffic can also be backed up so keep this is mind when heading that way. Our favorites were heading to the resort for lunch and the fabulous views (the pizza is EXCELLENT by the way) and coming back in the late afternoon to enjoy the lake and floating. The resort access with this cabin puts it in the 5 star category, because access to golf, pool and lake. CONS: The drive way is steep but we did navigate in our manual transmission vehicle. Let's just say if it's your first trip to the area you wouldn't want to arrive in the dark. A couple of the roads to get there are super twisty and sharp. Our GPS did work the entire way to cabin (Verizon service) but we had little telephone service while there. (Wifi worked well in cabin to communicate via messenger or other options)- Kristin , Posted: 8/11/2020
We had a great stay at Lucky Enough. I have suggested it to friends. Great location, great space. Completely satisfied.- Laci , Posted: 8/8/2020
Extremely clean, very large and spacious, great house with lots of privacy. Driveway is very steep so be warned. We really enjoyed our stay!- Lauren , Posted: 7/24/2020
