You can sneak in a little school or work on vacation because the INTERNET IS AMAZING!
The location is ideal, at the end of a quiet paved cul-de-sac with mature trees and lush landscape. As soon as you arrive, you’ll know you made the right decision. There is a street level entry ramp with a very gentle slope, which makes unloading groceries and luggage easy. While technically not handicap accessible, it is much easier for people who can’t do stairs. As you cross the ramp, look to your right and you’ll see the OUTDOOR FIRE PIT and chairs. Once unloaded, you can park in the private paved driveway, or even in the one car GARAGE.
One of your favorite features will be the open inviting floor plan. The Living Room has plenty of seating with three comfortable sofas (one of them is a sleeper sofa). Gather around and enjoy the WOOD BURNING FIREPLACE while watching your favorite movies on the large flat screen wall mounted SMART TV. WIRELESS and INTERNET ARE EXCELLENT, which is rare for Lake Lure. Steps away is a full-size dining room table with seating for six, ideal for eating, playing games, or planning the next days activities. It’s all part of an open floor plan keeping everyone in your group connected. If you prefer to eat outside, there is a table for six on the OUTDOOR DECK off the Living Room.
Enjoy the convenience of having a fully equipped Kitchen just like at home. Whether you're taking a break for lunch, cooking a family-style dinner, or making burgers on the GAS GRILL, the kitchen has everything you need. Tons of counter space makes meal preparation easy and convenient. There is ample cookware, baking dishes, dinnerware, and silverware for everyone. Plus, there’s both DRIP and KEURIG COFFEE MAKERS. In the Kitchen is also a high-top table and two chairs, a great place for morning coffee. A WASHER AND DRYER on the main level makes doing laundry convenient.
There are three bedrooms, all on the main level. The stunning oversized main level Master Suite with DOUBLE DOORS has KING SIZE BED, two nightstands with reading lamps, ceiling fan, and plenty of windows. It includes a private COVERED BALCONY to allow the fresh air in during any season. There is also a desk in the Master Suite that allows you some privacy to work while on vacation. NC VACATION RENTAL STANDARDS
First, be aware that the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act provides you with certain rights and protections. Second, we would like to make you aware of a few local regulations designed to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY LIMITS: The maximum occupancy limit for this home is 10 persons. You must provide us with the number of people and vehicles in your group. Violation of occupancy rules are grounds for immediate eviction with no refund, and fees will be charged to your credit card to cover any damages.
DESIGNATED PARKING: Vehicles must be parked only in designated areas on the vacation rental property. Parking in the roadway blocking the flow of traffic and parking on neighbor's property without permission are prohibited. There is parking for 3-4 vehicles at this property. No RV’s trailers, campers, or oversized vehicles of any kind.
ACCESS: You will receive directions and access information once we have received a signed rental agreement securing reservation (this agreement will be sent to you for electronic signature) you will also need to provide a copy of your government issued ID to our company with current mailing address and contact information along with vehicle registration of each vehicle that will be at the home during your stay. You will be emailed check-in instructions 24 hours prior to arrival provided you have signed your electronic rental agreement and sent in a copy of your photo ID and vehicle information. If you go to a property prior to approval from our office before check in time you will be accessed an early check-in fee $50.
TRASH DISPOSAL: All household waste & trash must be placed in receptacles considered to be animal proof (e.g., durable with secured lids) when available unless advised otherwise due to increased bear activity.
MINIMUM AGE: You must be at least 25 years of age to reserve a rental property and sign this lease and must also be a guest at the property during the entire term of the stay. You must present a valid government ID at time of check in. If you are not 25, you will NOT be allowed to check in and no refund will be provided.
NO HOUSE PARTIES: We do not accept reservations from sororities, fraternities, spring-break parties, bachelor / bachelorette / wedding parties, graduation parties, or ANY similar groups unless approved at time of reservation. Mr. Lake Lure Vacation Rentals works very closely with local law enforcement to patrol our rental homes, and report to us any occupancy violations. Any violation of this rule mandates you immediately vacate home without refund, regardless of the remaining duration of your reservation.
FIRE PROTECTION FOR YOUR SAFETY: Fire Extinguisher and Evacuation Plan -This home is equipped with working fire extinguishers and a posted evacuation plan. Removing any of these from their designated location is prohibited. Avoid storing items not to block hallways, doorways, steps, entrances and exits. Small Outdoor Fires - When an area burning ban is in effect, bonfires are prohibited. Contact your rental home's property manager for information on any burning bans. Outdoor fires are only permitted in a place and manner approved by the Fire Chief.
LAKE ACTIVITIES: Swimming: Do not swim farther than 50 feet from shore unless accompanied by an observer in a boat.
FISHING: A North Carolina fishing license is required, and all state fishing regulations apply.
BOATING: If a boat is provided with this rental home, please ask for and review the pamphlet entitled “Lake Regulations & Map”. If you wish to utilize your own boat on the lake, a permit is required and can be obtained at Town Hall or at the town marina.
PERSONAL CONDUCT: Trespassing - Venturing onto a neighboring dock or pier, boat house or property without the owner's permission is prohibited.
NO SMOKING: Smoking, Vaping and Electronic cigarettes are prohibited in all our vacation rental homes. You will be assessed an additional cleaning fee if it is discovered you have been smoking and/or vaping in the home of $500. We ask that all smokers stay a minimum of 10 ft from any open window or door, do not stand near open doors or windows allowing smoke to enter the home while smoking on property. Please make sure butts and ashes are not left behind. Discard the butts and ashes in the outside garbage. Do not throw butts on the ground (including the fire pit) or bring them into the home. If there is any tobacco smell in the home after your departure, there will be a minimum $500 charge. Oil lamps and incense are not permitted due to the long-lasting odor. If these policies are violated, there will be a charge for excessive cleaning.
NOISE: Unreasonably loud noise is prohibited throughout the Town. Please observe quiet hours after 10 p.m. and be aware that sound carries very far over a still lake.
UNRULY BEHAVIOR: Behavior deemed disorderly and causing a disturbance to the public is prohibited. These regulations will be strictly enforced.
SECURITY CAMERA LOCATIONS: Please be advised our homes have forward facing entry area security cameras. We monitor for non-reported pets, over occupancy and number of vehicles.
PETS/ANIMALS: DOG FRIENDLY HOMES: This is a Dog friendly home there will be additional non-refundable pet fee listed. CATS ARE NOT ALLOWED 2-Adult Dogs are allowed with additional nonrefundable pet fee of $60-$120. Dogs must not be left unattended or must be crated if left at home. Dogs are NOT allowed on the furniture; we ask that you please always pick up after your dogs and be mindful of the neighbors and keep your dogs on a leash.
RENTAL AGREEMENT AND TOTAL BALANCE: You will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement before your reservation is secured. Failure to sign rental agreement with-in 72 hours of booking, will result in cancellation of reservation and forfeiture of deposit. Any monies received by Mr Lake Lure Vacation Rentals for occupancy of vacation property indicated the acceptance of the terms of our vacation rental agreement in full. Your total amount listed on the Mr Lake Lure® Vacation Rental Agreement may be different than the amount paid to the 3rd party site you book through. All third-party sites charge differing amounts as service fees to guests for using their services. We have no control over those fees and do not collect them.
Please read your vacation rental agreement carefully before you begin your vacation. All policies are strictly enforced. It is the responsibility of all guests and members of their party to be familiar with all policies pertaining to rental.
ALL PROPERTIES OFFER AN INITIAL SUPPLY OF THE FOLLOWING AMENITIES:
Including, but not limited to: bed linens and bath towels (2 bath towels and 2 washcloths per Guest, 2 hand towels per bathroom sink), dishwasher detergent (2 loads) and dishwashing soap, new sponge, laundry detergent (2 loads), hand soap, (1 set per bathroom sink, including hotel size: 1 bar of soap, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner and 1 lotion), paper towels (1 roll), toilet paper (2 rolls per bathroom), and garbage bags (2 kitchen bags, plus 2 black bags). If you don’t feel this will be adequate for your stay, you will want to stop and pick up more on your way. All properties provide fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, including coffee makers as well as some cooking utensils. Locked pantries and closets are reserved for the use of the Property Owner and are not accessible to Guest. Rearranging furniture or removing any items from the Property is prohibited.

A Great Weekend With The Family
The home was in good condition, was well-equipped and in a wonderful location near a trailhead perfect for both biking and hiking. The billiard table in the basement was a welcome edition and the Pac-Man console game was like a flashback. All in all this place is an excellent choice for a weekend getaway. It even had a portable ice-maker and a comfortable fire pit. It sleeps 10 max but is absolutely perfect for two couples given the two en-suite bathrooms. Hemlock Creek Review
We had a great time at Hemlock Creek! The house was a good fit for our family of three and having the resort nearby was very helpful. It is really very lovely with lots of big windows to let in the light. The beds are comfy and the place was very clean. It’s totally shaded so even on really hot days sitting outside was very comfortable. And the bedroom balcony also has a roof so even in the rain you’ll stay dry there. Mr Lake Lure was very responsive and polite with any help we needed. There was a short power outage during our stay and they kept us updated the whole time. Rumbling Bald staff is very friendly and the beach was lovely. We loved the SUP rentals. Very affordable and super fun. Something to keep in mind is that the restaurants have limited hours due to staff shortages. Make sure you check the website for updated hours in all the dining options. The house is far away from everything so (other than morning hiker/biker groups) you feel very secluded and it’s really quiet. Ask for the address of and stop at the closest grocery store before you come. It’s about 20-30 minutes away. Chimney Rock is 25 minutes away and Asheville is an hour. And EVERYTHING closes early. Like all stores at 5pm and all restaurants at 9pm. Be sure to plan ahead for travel, dining, etc. The only minor issue we had was that the master bath has a jetted tub and ONLY a jetted tub which wasn’t clear to me when I booked. Wheelchair accessible, very clean
We had a great time and enjoyed all the amenities of Hemlock Creek and Rumbling Bald. The home was very clean, spacious and wheelchair accessible. Do note… the master bath only has a tub.
