ABOUT TWELVE MILE POST
Just four miles East from where Highway 9 meets the water’s edge of Lake Lure is the community of Twelve Mile Post. The subdivision broke ground in 1999, and since then it’s grown to encompass approximately 460 gorgeous rolling acres in the foothills of the Western North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains.
If you’ve spent vacation time in Lake Lure, you’ve seen the bright red McOwenben Bridge which spans across the bold rushing Broad River. The gated bridge serves as the entrance for this mountain neighborhood of gently winding roads and large custom homes.
